HelloBus: A Smart Phone Vehicle Location Control and Arrival Notification Service
HelloBus is a free Android application developed by Ciel Inc. that provides smart phone vehicle location control and arrival notification service. This service helps the convenience of passengers by inquiring about the current location of vehicles of private learning centers and kindergartens and sending an arrival notice message when one of the vehicles enters near the location of a center or a kindergarten using smartphones. The app is also available as "KidAlimi" service using the LTE black box. However, to use this app, you need to install the device on the shuttle bus.
The app has several functions such as identifying location, arrival notification, vehicle stop viewer, notification of absence, automatic formation of daily driving (passenger) records, and notification of students' getting on and off. It also has some differentiation factors that make it stand out from other similar apps. For instance, it provides two-way location information between a vehicle and a passenger, identifies location using a smart phone, and offers dynamic route change guidance. The app also allows for active decision of the location of boarding, precise arrival notification, and event-based dynamic location report.
